Beautiful, long legs now in stock!  These are actually solid wood, turned bed posts, but we thought they would look gorgeous used as legs on a custom console table or kitchen island.  Or, trimmed down and used to create an original oversized custom coffee table.

"A maple tree which has been tapped in the “traditional” way to harvest maple syrup. In this situation, a hole has been bored into the maple tree and a “tap” inserted. The fluid which is used to make maple syrup, sap, will then slowly drip from the maple tree’s tap into the bucket below. The bucket’s contents, when full, will be later be relocated and then boiled (which is possible through a variety of methods, most often involving a stainless-steel pan). The boiling process will turn the sap into “pure” maple syrup (to either be sold or enjoyed). Boiling is neccasary to remove the unbalanced ammount of water in the sap."

GREEN MATERIAL & A Rare Find

These solid maple panels features a random pattern of tap holes.  Holes could be filled with coloured epoxy to create an interesting look.  The trees used to make these panels were past their prime and no longer able to produce sap, so have since been transformed into beautiful, sustainable building material.
